Some of those are deceptively good BOTH ways.

PHI would probably take that (Gautheir, foerster, brink are on the way at wing) but hirvonen and a 2nd and the other 3 small pieces sounds good, and IMO Laughton is exactly what the leafs should get (solid 2 way, three position guy, perfect for middle 6, who plays with an edge/grit, 30-35pts).

Jeannot is another guy, struggling at minute, but that trade value might convince NASH, (albeit Robertson is not looking all that shiney at the moment).

That Tanev offer would get their attention. While Topi is no sure thing, a 1st and 2nd looks very attractive, esp as CGY has hanifan, weegar, zadorov.... Wonder if the CGY deals are combined with Holl (who can play 22-23 in place of Tanev). From TOR - Holl, Bunting, Topi and a 1st for Tanev?

The Raddysh offer seems spot on, even though hes overachieving in CHI.

The only one I dont see the other team even mulling over is the STL one. Just dont know is Holmberg has much value and whether STL would want Jarnkrot on that long term.

That's an easy no from the blues. We could easily get more than a player we don't need in Jankrok and a meh prospect

The thing with Jeannot is it's hard not to see his career year last year as anything other than an overachievement. I think he's like, a fine NHL guy, but it's not very often that a guy who didn't make the NHL until he was 23, and didn't stick full time until last year goes on to be a top six fixture. Usually those guys make a lot more noise earlier in their 20s.

Then you look a little deeper and it gets a bit more worrying. His underlying numbers last year were pretty mediocre, they're pretty mediocre again this year. He shot 21% last year, and is shooting 9% this year. Does it make sense that he might shoot like 15% going forward? I suppose.

I think he could stick in a top six role next to Matthews and Marner, and It makes sense to cast him in a Bunting-like role and he'll probably be pretty good there. But I wouldn't be paying a 1st round pick and a guy that's basically giving Toronto the same production in order to get a guy whose ceiling is probably like Michael Bunting. If you're going to pay that much you should probably be able to get someone better.

i was looking at his physical presence which the leafs don't have he would be protecting Matthews and Marner as well, something the leafs desperately need. All he needs to do is stand in front of the net with his stick on the ice and he should get 25 goals, Marner and Matthews will do the rest.

I get it but again if that's all you're looking for I feel like there's a ton of guys who can do that for less than a 1st round pick + Nick Robertson. Like "stand in front of the net and let the other good players do stuff and hit people sometimes" is not exactly a rare skillset.
