Anaheim has no want/need for Zucker — we certainly aren’t trading a guy under 25 along with a 2nd for him

You guys were talking about paying a 2nd to move Zucker 3 weeks ago, the fact that he is off to a hot start doesn't raise his trade value to the Ducks. He has significant cap hit, he is old, injury prone, and on an expiring contract. Jones is young, cheap, RFA controlled, and has grit that few of the Ducks have, and we desperately need.

Even with the 2nd going the other direction, we still likely say no, as it's not in the long term interest of the team to swap young players for old.

Zucker does what for us -- help us win 24 games instead of 20? And then walks?

No, thanks. Jones and that second will be more use to us in the future than Zucker will be for one year.

The pens are in win now mode. I doubt they trade a possible 1st, POJ, and Kap for him. Even though it would be nice to get out of the Kap contract.
Neither team does that Anaheim trade. The ducks are in last place in their division. And again, Pens are in win now mode. Zucker has been great and he is finally getting his scoring groove back.
Dumoulin = Holden. Idk why we would add Nylander and a 3rd just to get back Formenton that comes with baggage. Even if he is cleared. I just don’t think he has value at the moment.
Why are we doing Edmonton a favor by taking their cap dump for practically nothing? That doesn’t really help our bottom 6 at all.

Alex Formenton is just not available for NHL hockey at the moment.

That doesn't make a lot of sense. At the moment he is NOT cleared so he CAN'T have any value

If he is suddenly cleared, then he has a LOT MORE value than Nylander + 3rd
