Description

I'm a fan of Russell's, not enough for 4 mill over 4 years though. I don't care about analytics, but I did spend some time yelling at the television when Russell couldn't get the puck out of the Oilers end. I've also noticed his habit of passing to teammates not looking up ice, about to get stripped or knocked off the puck. Especially after he has held onto the puck too long allowing the opposing team to get set and properly positioned.

Nesterov is a similar player that is younger, heavier and should cost less then half that of Russell.

I agree. I mean I'd be okay with a 4 million one year deal but if he wants long term it's not going to work out, I'd rather sign someone like Trevor Daley to a one year 4 million dollar contract good puck moving d man and can play second unit power play plus frees up 4 million next year and hopefully a couple d man have developed by then. Good point though man 4x4 is to much for a small, and ageing kris Russell
