I agree in theory but Vegas currently has no starting goalie so they might have to overpay for one.

Vegas needs a goalie while their window is still open. As for Dean? I have him behind Brisson, Dorofeyev, Hague (who I still consider a prospect) and Danil Chayka. Plus with Theodore and Pietrangelo capable of playing the RD side, Whitecloud is somewhat expendable. Martinec, McNabb and Hague are capable on the LD side. This is why I believe Whitecloud makes more sense.

I will say it might require Ottawa to retain some of Talbot's salary for the year to help make it work.
