Let's organically tank again. Please real habs fan, you don't end a rebuild after 1 good draft position. Next year we need to finish in the bottom 5 and bottom 10 the next after that to even think of being in the mix à couple of years later. We had years of bad first round picks and always finishing in the middle, never the bottom. We have to be patient.
Same thing for PLD. Why not wait 2 years and if he's a man of his word, he will signe as a FA. Also the cap situation should be better.

Flip at trade deadline if possible: Drouin, Dadonov, Even Allen if there's an ask.
Dump Hoffman for a RD unless Drouin can't play. There is this theory that Hoffman helps us tank, so am not sure we get rid of him anymore.

I placed Dadonov on the first to try and 'up his value before flipping him.
Drouin on the 2nd cuz he had "success" with those linemates before.
Slafkosky on 3rd to manage expectations and we should not be worried if he gets sent down.... Remember, patience.
