Possible Line up if no other moves

Yup, we badly need another top-four defenceman.

Honestly, I think even if we don't I could see Brannstrom having a break-out year. I have always seen him as a top 4 offensive D man. maybe this season is too much to ask for but I see Sanderson and Brannstrom as a future great 2nd pairing, and Chabot can do what he does with Zub, he doesn't really need another partner.

Plus we haven't seen what JDB and Thompson fully mature yet as well. One of them could surprise us even this coming season.

That all being said I hope they can move Zaistev and swing a trade for Weager still. I have another post, two prospects including JDB and a 2nd, would that be enough?

Personally, I don't think Weegar is the best option, he only has one year left and will likely cost an arm and a leg to re-sign.

They should go after a solid dman with term like Connor Murphy or John Marino.

If they still need someone after this season they can try to sign Weegar when he hits free agency.

I can see Marino as a good option, but I feel like he would cost more in trade and cost more in AAV to resign.
I am not as huge of a fan of Murphy, that would be a plan B.
