I really like Dumoulin. But I'm not trading a 2nd for a rental. Stevie did that with Leddy last summer. Isles used that pick to draft Raty who might become a very good player. Luckily Stevie traded Leddy for Sunny, Walman and a 2nd.

Again, I stated this could be for a host of teams. Dumo just seems like a good fit with so many spots open on your defense roster. Obviously this is just conjecture, but I think anyone trading for Dumo is a team that would likely extend him. Dumo had a down year, but it's come out he was dealing with injury issues. For the Pens, it's a financial decision and with Matheson able to handle top-pairing minutes it makes Dumo expendable.

My guess is IF Stevie had interest, he'd be looking to extend him.
