Description
This is a mix of what I would like the team to do and what I think KH will do.
If you don't like it that's because you're on CapFriendly

** Only works if Smith and/or Keith retires along with Keiths trade condition NOT met **

I left Smith to show it can work whether he retires or not but I'd rather have an Elvis/Stu combo. Cant work if Keith doesn't retire I guess
Kane leaves for more money, I'm sure some team will pay 5+ which oilers cant afford
Would love Kuemper but I doubt Colorado don't pay him to stay.
May seem like a lot for Yams and Pulju to some and not enough to others but Oilers need them longterm-ish
Kuzmenko is leaning to EDM and he'll need a decent prove me contract. Put him with talent first so first line and I think he'll be great. Any KHL fans to give info

Not a huge return could be more but ARI will have trouble convincing pros to play in a college arena without overpaying. This helps reach cap floor.

Keep dreaming, Isles do not consider trading Pelech their Top Pairing, Top 5 Defensive D-Man, just signed an 8 year contract for anything less than a massive overpayment.

I said let me dream haha Yeah unless its a massive overpayment he stays. Isles just produce Top Defensive D like its nothing, need some of their magic.

kuzmenko by all reports is going to command in the high 2's to low 4's AAV. Agree with prioritizing internal guys over kane. Merzlinkins is an interesting option but, I'd try to explore the FA market first before considering a deal like that given Campbell, husso, jumper are on the market.

Barrie in dallas is a destination that makes sense. I also have on the shortlist: Seattle, NJ, Islanders, Montreal because those teams need a PP QB. Kass in Arizona seems like a given since the yotes need contracts that go beyond this yr since it'll be a struggle to sign FA's or resign guys to go play in a 5k capacity arena

I appreciate the input on Kuzmenko. Had no idea his asking price, Probably use the Pelech money to sign him and get a different LD in FA. I like the idea of Elvis, young, locked down on good deal long term and has every reason to succeed. CBJ is just really bad. If they cant get Campbell or Kuemper than Elvis is my guy.

I think if jarry is available for a trade though he should be non-fa option #1. a Jarry/Skinner tandem with that forward group and young dcore + coach is scary
