Ideal offseason

Imo either Manson or EJ is back, one not both. The top 4 is Makar, Toews, Byram, Girard, it would be insanelyly wasteful to have $10+M on the 3rd pairing. Also Kaut is either on the team or he needs to be traded, he has nothing left to prove in the AHL and should easily be able to fill a bottom 6 spot. I think Mikheyev would be a great fit.

Cap will be $82.5M next season so you have a little more space to work with.

I bet Seattle would take Kaut and JTC for Geekie and a 4th or something like that, assuming they don't see Geekie as a guy they want to keep around long-term. I'd also re-sign Maltsev - he's been better than Ranta at the AHL level at least.

Kuemper will want more years, I'd say at least 5 but the dollars are about correct. I'd give Lehkonen more years considering the price paid. That could also get the dollars down a little. I like the Mikheyev pickup and agree with Xqb that it's probably either Manson or EJ - they'll probably want some money freed up for acquisitions.
