Description
Ignore the trades and signings for a moment...I was trying to stick to the Shannyplan by getting younger with no radical trades. I was also trying to get a defense corps that knew Babcock's system while drafting/developing young dmen. I stopped when I noticed the CAP space.

I was surprised to only have $2,320,833 in CAP space with a $73,000,000 CAP so I added up the salaries and got $46,656,834.

I than added the buyouts for Gleason and Cowen with the retained transactions of Kessel, JVR and Bozak and got $53, 910,167 leaving over $19,000,000 in CAP space for this season and next season bonuses as well as room for new contracts for the young players.

Am I missing something or is the site adding it up wrong?

Youre LTIR was put in and did not reflect any cap relief! If you want to see that you should take players back in and then put them in LTIR in rookie mode to see full relief! Also check to be sure any players in minors have correct salaries, and there wasn't an overage

I didn't catch that. So that is an additional $10,550,000 + Marincin at $250,00 buried which brings the total to $64,710,167. Compared to the $70,697,167 it is still $5,969,000 off. I figure the Leafs had bonus overages but I was thinking it was $5,250,00. It is MUCH closer than I was expecting though.

The Leafs are tighter to the CAP next year than I realized. They possibly could go $5 MIL plus in bonuses again and be tight the following year again.
