What I think PHI will do

With Risto gone next year I don't see Sanheim getting moved. especially with a rental coming back

Flames trade is interesting. I think with the point I made above as well as York coming up the interest in Valimaki is probably not super high for Philly, I also think Calgary would rather hold on to him to play 3rd pair next year

Kadri at $8m for 5 years, starting at 32 years old.
Risto with a big, unwarranted extension and raise.
Palat overpay.

I'm not very optimistic for PHI this off-season, but this scares me...

From what I've heard Risto is coming back, but as always we will see. Anyway if he does then I imagine sanheim will be gone, even as soon as this deadline possibly.

While I can see Risto being re-signed, 6mil for 5 seems doable for both sides.

Cant see Palat and Kadri coming in, I think they'd re-sign Giroux for that or a tad less, instead of Palat anyday.

Valimakii is not having a great year, and with York and Zamula at LD, I can;t see him carrying the value in this deal, (which he does have, but maybe not for PHI). But Dube and a 1st is attractive.

As far as Sanheim to FLA for Tippett and Gudas, theres a ton of 3rd pairing RD on the market this off season (cheap but physical PK guys like Zadorov, Braun, Schultz, Gudbranson, Bortuzzo, Benning, etc...) which makes Gudas less valuable in this deal. And while Tippett is a nice thought, Flyers have Allison, Ratcliffe, Foerster, Desnoyers and Brink pushing for that spot, (making Brown/Willman goners too). But Sanheim probably has more value than this return.

Kadri is a nice shout but not at 8mil at 32. And I cant see PHI having 23mil in 3 centers 30 yrs or older. (Again a return of Giroux for 6mil for 4 yrs makes more sense)
