Yeah but Zucc is a lot better than Gaudreau, and I’d argue he was good despite Rask not necessarily because of him. I’m not here to sh1t on Rask though.

IMO Kap either needs help with the forecheck - ie ppl that can get in there and bang bodies - or speed to help push his pace. This offers neither.

I know I just think it’s more important to try and find an actual solution vs prove a point. But wtf do I know, the other lines could go off.

No one is proving a point with this. Kaprizov has been with Zuccarello and every single center on this roster at some point during the first 15 games, and nothing has worked, so the idea that we should try him with Zuccarello and (insert random center here) to get him going has already been shown to be ineffective.

This is about the rest of the roster now, not Kaprizov. They're reuniting Eriksson Ek and Foligno with Greenway because that was a highly effective two way line last season, they're putting Fiala with Hartman and Zuccarello because they want that line to start scoring, they're keeping Sturm, Duhaime and Pitlick together because it's an effective fourth line, and Kaprizov is with the leftovers because he hasn't been any good.
