Chicago has Lankinen who's been playing really well as their 1B. Mrazek may have some value after the season when Flowers is gone though. Kerfoot doesn't offer a lot to Chicago as they have plenty of LW players and isn't that great as a center. Additionally, you're asking Chicago to take on a fair amount of cap as a result of this trade which they can't afford going into next offseason while getting older in the process; the answer is no as such not to mention you have the pick going the wrong way but even then, Chicago isn't taking on that cap hit.

You’re not taking on 3.5 million for a 2nd line winger that has been playing well for 2 players that are scratched and a 3rd rounder.

My god y’all really don’t understand player values.

My God, you don't seem to understand that contracts, age and cap hits make a big difference.

Enlighten us with your genius to explain how Kerfoot adds value to the Hawks as "a 2nd line winger" which the Hawks have plenty of and who won't be unseeding Debrincat or Kubalik in their top 6 at LW? Now add to it taking on $7M+ in cap for the next 2 years that the Hawks don't have all while getting older for bottom feeding team versus moving Strome for picks and or prospects. Since I'm sure you bothered to look at their cap situation going into next offseason, help us understand how this helps the team and fits within the cap situation?

You are the one that doesn't seem to understand values correctly in trades; just a typical Leafs commentator on here that doesn't stop to think how trades proposed impact the other team.
