This team will be absolutely HORRIBLE until Eichel has surgery, recovers, gets game ready and joins the line up. This mean Ottawa is all but guaranteed a top 5 pick in 2022. BUT THE MOVES HERE should show Tkachuk that the team is committed.
At the deadline we trade Kessel, Tierney, Sanford, Holden, J Brown then just plug the holes until next season when we ice a killer team:

I don't disagree with you, Pinto could be challenging Norris for that first line before too long. But something of actual value would need to be going the other way and I feel like our 2022 1st would be a very stupid thing to give up right now.

I'm not doing this deal proposed in the OP

In theory, it's 3 first round picks and 3 second round picks, which is already a lot for Eichel in the current context.

However Pinto is worth a lot more than a 1st round pick, he is an untouchable for me.
