Description

We all know Rask shouldn't play with Kirill under any circumstances. I hope Coach Evason gets that, too. We need to give Fiala some proper linemates, and Boldy has a high ceiling - voila. I think Sturm should get an increased role, and he would probably thrive in the role JEEK had last season. Rossi could snatch Gaudreau's spot, but with all the one-way contracts and young-guys-shouldn't-be-given-a-roster-spot going on, I think he will start in the AHL. For now. This team could surprise many, it is all up to the coach doing his job right.

Just don't screw this up, Dean.

Gaudreau is, at best, a 4th liner. This team looks worse than last year, I would indeed be surprised if they reached the playoffs. The situation is a bit messed up; they have some really good young guys in Addison, Boldy and Rossi, but they may not be ready to contribute just yet. And while they could be stars in a few years, their current stars could be gone by then. Hopefully the Wild will solve this, it would be fun to see Kaprizov, Rossi, Boldy, Fiala and JEE playing together in the top 6.
