thats debatable. drouin is a one-way forward with some question marks if he'll even play. their production isn't that far apart and compher can at least play center. right now habs 2nd line center is jake evans so it's a big win for montreal too,

Habs don't need Drouin to really do anything else then be a passing top 6 winger which he is better at then Compher though. They have Lehkonen and Byron for those bottom six checking roles with no real playmakers on the left side, trading thier only one for a guy who is more versatile doesn't help them when they need what Drouin brings more then what Compher brings.

based on last season drouin brings slightly more offense at the expense of defense. it's more of a gamble for the avs. a higher risk by higher reward. habs get a middle six center which they desperately need.
