Newhook isn’t playing 4C, if this were the lineup I’d slide him in at 2LW, Burakovsky to 2RW (I think he is much better on the right), make the 3rd line Jost, Nichushkin and Kaut, let Haula center LOC and Maltseyv (the kid they got in the Graves trade). Also I don’t know that they would do it but I would put Byram with Makar, Toews and Girard together because they were awesome together, and let EJ and Timmins handle the 3rd.

yea most of this i could see as well. although it wouldn't surprise me if newhook started on 4th or maybe 3rd line.

Nah, especially the way Bednar uses the 4th line usually at that 10 minute mark, Newhook’s skill level and what his intended role as 2C doesn’t make sense to play him on the 4th line. My gut says they start him at 2C with Kadri at LW letting Kadri take the defensive C assignments much like they do with Landy on the top line. I do think they have learned a lot from how they messed up Jost’s development but that’s just all my opinion.

Well it won't be OTT taking Donskol. I wouldn't say he's an upgrade over Tkachuk, Batherson, Stutzle, or C Brown. So he and Dadonov would be battling for the 3rd line RW spot.
No need for Ottawa to add that cap hit for a guy who ends up in our bottom 6. There has been a lot of Kadri talk though... maybe there's a deal to be made there.
