Ok the 1st 2 trades are ok ad Drouin may be done in Montreal and with Weber's injury we are protecting Chiarot, Edmundson and Petry.

Here is where Montreal has a hard time, Poehling's ceiling is higher than Kerfoot and now that they have the money for Danault there is no need for Kerfoot or Engvall. Take Poehling out of the deal and Yelonen (we would not sub just any other prospect here by the way. Norlinder, Struble, Caufield, Kotkaniemi, Suzuki and Romanov are also off the table) and the deal falls apart. I don't think we want to bring DeAngelo into our locker room but MB was already interested in trading for him so I hope he has soured on him. Besides that Romanov is going to fill a top 6 role permanently next year so if DeAngelo is signed he would be the one in the box IMO. Goodrow is a good bottom 6 add but we could just resign Armia for the same amount of money and we already know he fits well. Halak I don't think would want to return to Montreal but I would love to get him back lol. Overall I would say 3.5 out of 5 not bad but not great either. Good try though.

i disagree about poehling. i think his ceiling is where kerfoot is now. habs lose out on cheaper salary but no longer have the risk of him not reaching the ceiling.

i'm under the assumption that danault is gone. i think it's clear the habs are his "plan c".

engvall adds some size and i think he has a little untapped scoring potential. if he doesn't work out than it only like 250k against the cap for one year.

norlinder or struble is fine as part of the deal. caufield, kk, suzuki and romanov are no longer prospects so wouldn't be included. i think leafs are inclined to pick a forward anyway as they are set on d for now.

i don't like deangelo but mb was already interested before and now he's likely only going to cost $1m and solve a lot of problems for the habs so i don't think mb is going to walk away. i think it's almost as certain that deangelo ends up in monteal as it is that taylor hall ends up on boston. 6d won't stay healthy long and there is a chance risto or deangelo ends up in the dog house but as is romanov is the 1st choice to sit unless the habs dress 7d.

armia could work but goodrow is a much better player. i wouldnt pass on him for armia but armia can still be plan b.

not sold on halak but the habs need a good veteran goalie who can play at least 30 games. i thought halak would be an ok choice since he's familiar with the city and media.
