Nah; Wild wouldn't be interested in Kerfoot or his cap. Leafs are going to lose him in expansion anyway. Wild already have younger, better players than Kerfoot, and aren't going for him, or his cap. Doesn't matter it's just 3, or 4mil. In terms of Wild, they rather keep their draft picks also.

Depending on how things shake out they’d accept. Potentially losing 2 guys in Hamilton and Skjei and even if they only lose one of them Holl is a good depth piece on third pair. They’re moving Foegele most likely so this return is pretty solid. Although he wants an expanded role in the top 6 so I don’t know how realistic a move to Toronto is for him.

Good point about Toronto's top 6, but the Canes would still have Bean, Keane, maybe Honka, could re-sign Hakanpaa, etc. I think their pressing needs would be another goalie and better bottom 6 contributors.
