2021 draft, if Simon Edvinsson is close to being available, move up to get him. If not, Cole Sillinger. Also not opposed to moving back for Matthew Coronato. Option available to move up, stay put, or fall back. Edvinsson is the ideal pick though.
If any of the players get a bigger contract than they are signed to, Vinnie will be the first to go. The Dach and Boqvist bridges I think are fair. Dach may be able to push 5 if he really has a breakout year but when I look at the bridges for Sergachev and Mcavoy, this seems fair. I also think Dach and Boqvist know Toews and Kane will be getting new contracts the following year and would be willing to take less if needed. Bridge might not be three years then but it would get us into the new Kane and Toews contract era. Toews will get less. Kane can get 10 again but I can already feel he’ll take less for the team.
Fleury has already made his money, he’s in it for the game now. He might even take 1 mil. Other options include Korpisalo, Francouz and Delia. Not really looking for a long term solution with Commesso hopefully being ready soon. Lankinen might even prove to be our true starter. Delia still has good backup potential.
Traded in some capacity. Some players here can be used in a trade to acquire Lindholm during the 21-22 season. Or Lindholm can be signed in FA before the start of 22-23. But we should try to acquire Lindholm by trade so we can focus on signing Jones and Forsberg in FA. Not the right pieces here to acquire Forsberg and Jones via trade but both players are signed in FA.
