It's not worth giving up a 1st to get rid of Ladd just to re-sign two declining players in Cizikas and Palmieri to long term deals. There's a better way to navigate the offseason and put a better team on the ice.

Riley Nash - one of the best shutdown centers in the league over the 3 seasons and it won't cost 2.5-3.5 mill to sign him. He's in the 99th percentile for even strength defense and he's a great forechecker. "TB4LIH "is a myth, they weren't an elite 4th line this season and theyre only getting older. No point in investing more $ and term into declining players.

Kulikov: Averaged 20 min playing for the Devils, he was a solid play driver offensively and defensively. After he was traded to EDM he put up similar results. He doesn't put up points but he should get a slight raise from his 1.15 AAV.

I think Golyshev will win the 3lw spot out of camp, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Dal Colle there either.

Koivula won't clear waivers, there will be injuries and hell eventually work his way into the lineup. He can play all 3 forward positions.
