The thought process would be to transition Reinhart to 2C to hopefully have a 1-2 punch. Ekholm only makes sense if Dolan is seriously pressuring Drury to be in a compete now mode

But yeah I’m personally a big fan of a Domi reclamation project, though his value is hard to place

I don't see the Sabres trading Reinhart to an Eastern team unless it's a big overpay

Once again, the Sabres would be stupid to worry about sending him to a team in their conference (not even division) at the cost of the best deal available. They’re about to go into another rebuild and the chances of them competing while Reinhart is playing for that team is relatively low and so far down the line that it’s not worth the concern

It's not really cap compliant as the Rangers certainly don't any bonus carryover into 21/22. Forget about Domi.
