Don't Agree:
I am personally against giving this year's first to dumb Gardiner, but I understand it.
I can't see Mrazek coming back at a discount to be a backup.
I don't like bringing back Martinook.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. I would bring martinook back for the leadership he provides. The LW could be several differnt players but RNH is the best free agent option IMO, I could see a trade of Forsberg being a good option. Id say needing a first to unload gardiner is the worst case scenario but id pay it to shed salary and protect bean. Totally forgot about foegele but his rights can be moved

Two years for Nedeljkovik puts him right into ufa.

RNH probably isn't the guy you're looking for especially at 5x6.2.

Hamilton looks fair for both sides. Any other team would have to go ~ 7x10 to top that offer....

I don’t think RNH is the right move. I would much rather buy out Gardiner then give up a 1st.

If Vegas moves Smith, Tampa moves Killorn, or similarly typed player then go for it. I don’t think we should add Dougie and another long term contract.

i dont disagree with the assessment of RNH, he is just the best lw on the UFA market. It is definitely a position the canes need to upgrade in to push forward. Giving up the first allows the canes to get rid of the enitre cap while protecting bean so for me its worth it, but its the very max i would pay
