With Strome coming off the books (and the Cap moving up slightly), we might have roughly $26M in Cap space.

Probably about $16M will go to Zibenejad and Hertl, with roughly $6M going to Fox.

That leaves us with $4M to Bridge Kakko and Kravtsov, while also promoting some youngsters into the Bottom 6.

And then having to worry about Lafreniere and K'Andre the year after.

As much as we want to Buch, something has to give. Just not enough money to go around.

I proposed a Brendan Dillon trade earlier, and even I need to walk it back. Cap gets eaten up quick in today's NHL.
