The Panthers are rolling and Connolly isn't playing. There are some rumour that he can be moved. The Predators could use a middle 6 goal scorer (Tolvanen is not ready IMO), someone they lost in Craig Smith. The return can be Jarnkrok or Grimaldi + prospect.

Panthers:
Lost a player, who barely played this year. Got a player, who barely played this year, but on lower salary + solid prospect.

Predators:
Lost a player, who barely played this year, and a solid prospect. Got a guy, who was underperforming this year, but with a new opportunity and more ice time can be decent goal scorer.

I'd say that Panthers are the winner of this deal, but if the Preds want a change, they have to sacrifise something.
