I like the idea of pairing off players (like many teams do). Scheifele-Wheeler, Connor-Dubois, Staz-Ehlers, Copp-Lowry. There is the basis of the four lines. It also gives the balance of the players hope that, if they play well, they have the opportunity to play up. A system like this would have kept prospects like Roslovic happier. Appleton, Harkins, Perreault, Vesalainen, Perfetti, Lewis, Thompson can all earn their minutes on these lines. Late in games, you can split Staz and Ehlers up to play on the Scheifele and Dubois lines.
