He isn’t that bad imo. He’s just best suited as a 5th defensemen which he would be playing in philly and 3M per for a 5th d-man isn’t “terrible”. It’s bad, just not terrible.

JVR on the other hand seems to be on the wrong end of flyers ACGM’s so it was just an idea

I guess there’s a chance he could fit better in a different system.

JVR is still a good player , but he has been in AV doghouse a few times. Maybe the flyers will buy him out next offseason

This is a great comment.

Fans hate Zaitsev and think he sux, but NHL coaches play him 20 minutes a night. So what is a 20 minute a night D worth? Between $3.5MM and $4.5MM
