I gave Trouba basically the same contract as Seth Jones. That's probably a little more than he deserves, and we'd be infinitely better off bridging him, but I just wanted to verify that we could, in fact, get away with this if he was paid close to what the rumors suggest he's demanding.

Aside from the dubiousness of "do Winnipeg and/or Edmonton ever really consider these trades", this makes our blueline almost impossibly young (Murray and Trouba, both at 22, would be the oldest folks in the top-4). Resigning Wennberg is going to be a bit of a challenge as well, and we're almost certainly going to lose a quality forward in the expansion draft.

But, hey, Winnipeg gets their top-4 LHD and a decent LHD prospect, Edmonton gets their defense shored up, and we get a C upgrade. So... it works, maybe? :)
