Description

Moves that can help the Rangers take the next step forward from a playoff bubble team to consistent playoff contenders
- Strome is signed to a two year bridge deal for $5.5mm per year. This keeps Strome with Panarin in the short term while either Chytil improves enough to be a top 6 center or until the Rangers can trade Strome and other assets for a top 6 center
- Georgiev signs a two year bridge to stay as the backup to Igor and could be flipped at the trade deadline or next offseason
- Lemieux is signed to a two year bridge as well to stay as a fourth line enforcer with some scoring touch to add
- Hank retires. This is the ideal situation that probably won't happen but would be amazing for the Rangers cap situation
- Staal is bought out as he refuses a trade anywhere else and his roster spot is needed for younger players
- Rangers draft Alexis Lafreniere with the 1st overall pick and Connor Zary with pick 22
- These lines are what I project them to be after about 20-30 games into the season when players like Kravtsov and Miller are called up
