This is my best case scenario, I would settle for someone else and it doesn't need to be CAR. I want a RHD with term. CGY and CAR made the big deal 2 offseasons ago, so there's a working relationship. CAR showed they weren't bothered by term disparity in the Hamilton/Ferland acquistions, they gave up way more term in Lindholm/Hanifin.

CAR is completely loaded on D, which is my only sliver of hope for this happening. Of course I'm sure TOR would offer Nylander for Pesce.

That Carolina top six would be disgusting - I think they'd have to consider it. I appreciate that you're a Flames fan who's not asking for the moon - sometimes just moving on and re-allocating the cap space is more important than getting the massive, perfect return. That being said, I think RyJo is hot garbage

but that's just my opinion. Both teams could def use the shakeup.

I really like the fit with Gaudreau in Carolina. I think he would thrive playing behind the likes of Aho/Teuvo/Svech. He would draw softer matchups and regain his form
