-Have seen Jensen traded for around a 4th/5th by Caps fans. This package is valued at at least that, and cuts Caps future $$ commitments leaving some space to resign Ovi.

-Should also note that Trouba's SB has already been paid, so FLA would only owe Trouba 2 mil this year. Overall the move would net 2-3 mil in cap room this year.

Check the description. Their concern is salary. Rangers already paid Trouba's signing bonus so he's only owed 2 mil this year. The trade saves them money. That's the point. Florida was a major player in Trouba trade rumors earlier this summer and they played Weegar almost entirely on the left side this year as a right handed shot. Trouba would fill that role.
