Zubrowka: If you're asking me about playoff teams. I think the Rangers and Detroit are the two most likely Eastern Conference teams to fall out of the playoffs. Dog fight on who gets in.....Bruins in,
but maybe New Jersey or Carolina can get over the hump too. Buffalo, Ottawa, Montreal close but out. Leafs and Columbus out.
Regarding the signings of Vanek, Ott, Neilsen. Detroit did nothing to help their defence. (so you're right about DelZotto being a good fit in Detroit). Ott doesn't really help. Vanek will he be interested in playing? hasn't most of his career and I like Neilson but the Wings did lose Datsyuk (who was injured part of last year).
Detroit seems to be scrambling to "fix" there team with UFAs. They seem to lost a pipeline of successful AHLers ready to come into the NHL on cheap ELCs to be good NHLers or at least difference makers. They will get it back at some time, but when they rid themselves of some bad contracts (all teams have them) maybe they can spend their money wiser (like all teams hope to do).
