Ferland Back Soon What Can He Do

Benning revealed today Ferland is close to returning and is feeling great. This could be a big boost for the Canucks..

He will be sent to Utica on a conditioning stint to practice and play a couple games then be recalled sometime over the next couple weeks in Bennings words. Now, looking at Utica and the Canucks Schedules, Utica has a two game home stand on the 8th and 12th. Ferland probably flys down on the 6th after the comets away game on the 5th. Then returns to the Canucks on the 13th were they have 3 days off after a home game on the 12th. He then gets practice time with the team over those days before he sees NHL action Feb 16 vs Anahiem.

This is purely speculation.. But seems to line up with what Benning said and makes the most sense timeline wise. Im sure they dont want Ferland riding the bus on a Utica Road trips which sandwich that homestand lol.

So where do you guys think Ferland can get to with this Canucks team? I believe these are the most likely outcomes:

A.) Becomes a force while playing his way onto the second line doing damage offensively and physically.
B.) Stays on the 4th line in a energy and shutdown role producing limited offense but wears down the opponent and makes his presence known.
C.) Doesnt find a fit in the lineup and gets bounced around lines even being healthy scratched at times until he gets a fresh start next season.
D.) Ferlands concussion issues put him on the IR again for the rest of the season.

Those are the only 4 scenarios I can envision happening. Which do you think it will be? Or if you can envision another Scenario post it!

My guess is B. It would be tough to come in mid season and produce. Plus with him on that line it balances the lineup really well, especially on the road. Green can role these lines against anyone in the league in my opinion.
