Jumbo was sent to San Jose for Brad Stuart, Marco Sturm and Wayne Primeau. 1,033 points later Jumbo is still manning the 3rd line at age 40 with Patty Marleau at his side. No cup, I know but Jumbo has been amazing to watch every game for 14 years. From the days dominating with Cheechoo, boosting the numbers of Setoguchi, Heatley, beating the crap out of Toews, Benn and Getzlaf. Watching him work in his office behind the opposing goalies net, sliding across the ice after beating LA. The hat trick last year against Boston.....so many great moments. May he live forever.

He’s fantastic. That said, I think O’Connell gets too much crap for trading him. Ya, he should have gotten more, but he said that he didn’t think they could win a cup with a team built around Thornton, and he was right. Freed up the room to go get Chara.

I know, seeing Jumbo, Patty and Hank raise the cup would be awesome. Hank should join the Sharks.
