Description

Markstrom has been quite underwhelming this season, and Demko is playing exceptionally. Canes need a real starter, and Markstrom has the ability to be just that (especially with the Canes d-core in front of him). Forsberg is a competent enough backup and should only be seeing 15-20 games.

Jake Virtanen hasn't been able to get his footing in Vancouver, so I could definitely see him being moved. Duclair has been playing very well this year, and with the way things are going, he won't be getting anything near playoff hockey in Ottawa.

The wingers can easily rotate around in this lineup, but I really think that the Miller-Pettersson-Boeser line needs to stick for the time being. Being able to rotate Duclair, Baertschi (who could also be moved), Pearson, and a healthy Ferland will help the team a lot in my opinion.

Duke is our leading goal scorer right now, and he's showing chemistry with Tkachuk and Brown on the top line. I don't see them moving him right now. His value is going to rise if he keeps playing like this

underwhelming in the sense that hes getting outplayed by demko. carolina cant depend on mrazek and reimer for a cup run.
