Description
Trying to make it work for us...Dangle said he would do this, and though we would get under the cap, clearly we may loose some players on waivers while being vulnerable if and (in the case of Matthews) injuries happen...help. :(

It doesn’t matter who gets hurt, an injury means a call up we can’t afford... so we go to a 20 man roster.

Might as well be. I was just taking a famous leafs fans take on the subject. Personally, I cannot fathom how we are better than last year, and that's said realistically. I don't trust Ceci, who was so bad in Ottawa (!!) that he was run out of town there; Barrie is nice, but loosing Kadri - our one physical scorer - will really hurt come playoff time, where the lack of physicality was proven to be a massive detriment to all the teams in the league; once Hyman and Dermott return we will HAVE to run with less than a full roster; if someone gets hurt - here's looking at the annual Austin Matthews injury - we cannot afford a call up; we did not address the backup goaltender situation at all meaning either Freddie is going to be overworked come playoff time OR we play him less and probably not get as many wins and ultimately play either Boston on Tampa in the first round, OR Florida OR Carolina or Price in Montreal or any other team that can upset a higher seed.

This was a fun test of how to do it. I don't see how the math adds up. And we need to forget about midseason additions, as we will have to trade a roster player for one.
SpaghettiPasta a aimé ceci.
