KINGS-SABRES: LA adds much needed experience to top 4 defense; Sabres add proven 2-way RW for Eichel's line (risk of Toffoli's expiring contract is mitigated by draft picks and odds of him rebounding this year playing close to home)

WILD-SABRES: Guerin adds Cup winner in winger he knows without losing speed in top 6 and 2 prospects; Sabres add top 6 winger with speed and scoring ability.

DUCKS-SABRES: Ducks add depth on RHD; Sabres shed cap space and acquire low draft pick in the process.

CANADIENS-SABRES: Habs add veteran depth to bottom pairing with hometown appeal; Sabres shed some cap space and free up logjam on defense for a mid-round draft pick.

Bogosian and Okposo become the spare roster players.

Agreed, I think though that LA will hang onto Toffoli till the deadline and trade him with 50% cap retained probably returning a 1st and a top prospect maybe few other pieces too.

Hard disagree. Risto has plenty of warts but he's outscored Toffoli in 2 out of the last 3 years as a "D-man". Also Toffoli is on an expiring contract. The picks should remain as is.

I would be fine with the last 3. Not interested in the kings one, toffoli is probably a rental for us. That means we give ristolainen away for a second and one season of toffoli in a year where we dont make the playoffs, with or without him. Nah.

Exactly, I am tired of watching people post Ristolainen trades for 30 pt forwards and Buffalo has to add. To put this trade into perspective, Sheary has more goals and pts but played less games than Toffoli over the last 3 years. Who say Buffalo would need to add in a trade for Sheary? You presented a fair trade (IMO not enough for Ristolainen) yet people think the 2nd should go the other way.
