I saw this trade awhile back, and it's been steadily growing on me. I wanted to reignite the conversation

Honka and Sprong find themselves in very similar positions. They are both young, talented players who have never really been given a fair shot to show what they're capable of. With reports of Johns on the mend, it is unlikely that Honka will break into the Stars top 6 D-men. And Sprong will not be able to go higher than 4th line RW with the Anaheim. These teams should trade from a place of strength to shore up their weak spots

With this trade, Honka could find a productive home beside Fowler on Anaheim's 2nd pairing. And Sprong can find a place to grow on the Stars 3rd line behind former teammate, Corey Perry

Every year I hope for a trade like this to occur but it involves all 31 teams. Every team just throws in their own misfit prospect just to shake things up and see which ones suddenly take off under the right circumstances. This way we can properly assign blame to how teams manage their prospects *stares at Edmonton*
