Simple fair trades that get the Rangers under the cap and solidify their roster for this season.
Smith buyout makes the most sense between him, Staal and Shattenkirk.
If Shattenkirk can stay healthy and play decently, Rangers can flip him at the deadline for a mid round pick.
Kreider can also be flipped at the deadline for a 2020 1st and solid prospect similar to the Hayes deal.

I put in what I thought would be the highest amount they could theoretically get to see the cap implication. If they sign for less, then that saves the Rangers even more cap space

Edm has ~3.2 mil in cap space, assuming Jurco is set to the minors. Not enough cap room for Namestnikov.

Puljujarvi wayyy overpaid. He's ~1 mil a year guy...
