To me, Hagelin's term/caphit makes him more of a third liner, while I see him as an ideal fourth line winger, even though he can fill-in in third if necessary.
I think Burakovsky has more in him than he has produced, but he needs to be willing to go to UFA (not being given a qualifying offer) but signing a hometown discount. It will still be hard to fit him, so I've dealt him to Arizona. Fischer is only a year away from a 33 point season, so should be low-risk option, but mostly a stopgap until Leason step in at 3RW. If it doesn't work, why not give Riley Barber a shot, after being a point-per-game player in Hershey? Or move Pirri to RW and play Hagelin or Agozzino at 3LW?
Connauton had the second most SH TOI for Coyotes, which can be needed for Capitals. Might only be a stopgap solution for a year, until Alexeyev or Siegenthaler can fill in on a full time basis.
If Vrana's term is too low, Djoos at $1M (instead of Connauton) will be good enough. Or you can choose to carry only one extra forward (Barber/Agozzino) and leave the other as a non-roster player.
I have also seen several suggestions of Josh Leivo as 3LW, which is also a good option IMO.
