Teams can only carry a maximum of 3 Retained Salaries at a time. An individual contract can only have a maximum of 2 teams retaining salary on it. The maximum amount of retained salary by a team is 15% of the Salary Cap for the current year.

Also Leafs do get Larsson, but i dont think Larsson is worth Kadri and Kapanen. I think add maybe a 2nd to it. Just before leaf nation comes in here lol
Also Lucic can be added coming back for sending Kadri over. Sens would definitly be able to accomodate his salary even with Chabot needing a new deal next summer and TKachuk needing in 2 years

Can a team like oilers for example, trade lucic to another team, other team retains half salary, and trade back to oilers, so he is a 3 million dollar player or whatever, instead of a 6 million dollar player
