Description

Trying to trade within Kessel's assumed preferred list, a bit tricky since TBL is also cap crunched but figured they could use a change of scenery in their players.

Traded Rust & Maatta which sucks but also need cap space and they carry value. Rust can be a good add for any team looking to gain speed/playoff experience. Maatta is good (contrary to popular belief) and can help a team bolster their defense.

Signed PEB because I love him and think the team can benefit from a player like him. Not sure how much he will go for on the market, but for fun let's assume he is interested in playing with Sid.

Signed the roster RFA dudes. Pettersson deserves atleast $2m AAV and not sure what ZAR gets, but he contributes so I gave him a raise.

I don't love this defense, but there will be just under $3mil in cap space available and can also look to make other trades. Penguins still have their 1st rounder after all of this which I think they should trade, but just taking a stab and different approach from what I have been seeing.

I felt like I was going backwards when I first wrote it out, but it would only be for 1 year and he isn't completely useless. I prefer to keep Kessel in all honesty but I just don't see it happening now that the dirty laundry has aired out. I honestly don't know what to expect from GMJR this summer, and it scares me. I actually was in favor of Zucker/Rask for Kessel/Johnson but that won't happen now. Idk!! You think JT Miller would be a better return?
