Wouldn't it be great if the Lightning could finally give Stamkos a good winger to play 5v5 hockey with? It definitely would, as this could be what makes Tampa takes the next step (IMO).
But could Tampa afford a top UFA this summer? The answer is "Ehhhh, probably not."
Even in a best case scenario where Point sign a bridge deal, Killorn and Tyler Johnson waive their clause and get traded + Callahan gone, the cap would be too little in projection to the 2020 offseason, where Vasi, Sergachev and Cirelli have to be re-signed. And the Dcore would also be too short come next season.

The only way I see Tampa being able to commit to another big contract is getting rid of all Killorn, Tyler Johnson and Palat + one of Gourde/Miller. And we are obviously never gonna see so much change during one single offseason (even if I personally think Killonr, Johnson and Palat are the weak links in the Lightning chain and would love to get rid of them).
