I mean, either way they get Ghost and then they can still trade Trouba for other assets. Buff is 34 and has 2 years left on his contract. Why not trade him for a much younger/cheaper D man?

Does buffs age scare you a bit? trading away a younger D man for someone on the back 9. If it was win now mode for experience I would. Buff been hurt more recently too.

We are in win now mode according to the front office. 2 years of a veteran Buff is what this D core needs. Someone who knows how to win to show the kids how it is done. 2 years gives Myers time to acclimate to the NHL
