Description
You know Jarmo won't sit still with just the 2 draft picks. Seems like Murray's time has run out with CBJ. Had the best year of his career, so they can sell him at his highest point, likely back out west where he's from.
Seems like Wennberg's time is up, too. Given his recent production, his cap hit seems high, but if a team can get him back to his form a couple years ago, then it's a steal of a salary. I can see him fitting in well in Colorado as a 3rd line center and PK guy.
I think Duchene is going to decide between CBJ and Nashville. An extra year + familiarity keeps CBJ in the top spot.

CBJ could certainly go after a big target in UFA, but not sure they will. Nyquist could be a target. Hayes or Zucc as well. Or they could re-sign Dzingel, who played really well after being a healthy scratch.

Wennberg and Avs wouldn't shock me. Bednar coached him for a bit with the Falcons in 14/15, Avs AGM chris macfarland at the time was the AGM in Columbus and was part of the scouting, development and drafting of Wennberg prior to 14/15.

That wouldnt shock me at all if they cam knocking for him.

Milano would be another name to add to your list of most likely gone. I wouldn’t be surprised if Duchene saw Bobrovsky and Panarin leave to save screw it and walk away. I’d guess Montreal and Nashville will make him offers that are pretty good. Also I don’t see Dzingle coming back, he never really fit in well in Columbus and struggled his whole time here, but he could be back. It makes for an interesting offseason to say the least.

Also I’d be suppressed I’d Peeke makes the team next year with Kukan and Harrington better then he is at this point. Plus I’d rather see Peeke play top pair minutes in the AHL then play 3rd pair in the NHL. Do you think Bremstrom will come over next year? He could be a top AHL player too, maybe fight for the 3rd line next year too.

I really wish that Murray could stay healthy. The Boston series would have been much different with Murray & Nutivaara in the lineup.

I agree that Wennberg could post some big assist numbers again with skilled wingers. He was relegated to 3rd line duty with a more checking line responsibility, and he probably will never learn to shoot the puck like a 1C or 2C, which is sad to see for such a talented player.
Milano's time is just about up. Maybe a 4th or 5th round pick for a team that wants to roll the dice on rejuvenating his career.

Before last night, I would agree with you about Sonny, but Jarmo mentioned him by name as prospects ready to play next year, which makes me think they give him another shot. If that was just to pump his value a little, then that makes sense too.

Montreal and Nashville have a little issue with cap space, so duchene could get more cash in Columbus. I bet he stays. Also don’t count out Dzingel, he looked much better last night, with a diminished roster, could make sense to bring him back. He struggled in the second round, but who didn’t. Had the same number of points as duchene after their trades.

I think Harry is gone too. I would put him behind nuti, gavrikov and kukan. Peeke might go to Cleveland, but he’s probably more NHL ready than people think.

I’m really pumped about Bemstrom. I think he either makes the roster next year or goes back to Sweden
